about the show
this staged reading, using the play on! shakespeare modern translation of measure for measure [translated by aditi brennan kapil] was designed [by necessity] in a week. all music was recorded, mixed, and mastered by oz fen over the course of 3 days, and all other sound cues were found, and the qlab session completed over the course of about 2.
the goal of this design was to help ground the show in location and events. most of the sound cues were transitions between scenes, to bring the audience to the new location that the scene was in. the cues that weren't for location were often music [all composed specifically for the production], to indicate who was in the scene or experiencing conflict and heavy emotions.
